Conception of a Product Configurator for fans
Welcome to the 2024 Industry Sprint Workshop (ISW) at the International DSM Conference, a joint event with the Fraunhofer Advanced Systems Engineering Summit (ASE). ISW have a year-long tradition at DSM conferences, and we are happy to continue this format in 2024.
We are delighted to present ebm-papst, the world’s leading manufacturer of fans and motors, as our industry partner for this year’s challenge. We will work on an exciting task to develop a concept and derive recommended actions for ebm-papst’s new product configurator.
ebm-papst, a leading global supplier of fans, blowers, and motors, is known for their cutting-edge technology and energy-efficient solutions. Their expertise spans various industries and offers high-quality, sustainable products as well as sustainable, intelligent, and innovative air and heating technology.
ebm-papst has over 20,000 products in their product portfolio, which has grown over decades, resulting in a high number of individual parts and customer-specific solutions. To face this increasing complexity, ebm-papst has decided to establish a completely new, platform-based modular product architecture for their fans.
